Emma Floyd led the way with 12 points Monday night.

WATCH: Joplin tops East Newton 46-28 Monday night.

Emma Floyd finished with a team-high 12 points. Isaballa Yust finished with 8 points. Eight different players scored for the Eagles.

“It’s great if you have a player that scores 30 a game, but I’ve never had that,” says head coach Luke Floyd, who is in his first year with the team, “We just teach our girls to do your role, and we find the best shot instead of the first shot. We’re doing a really good job of finding our open teammates and knocking them down. That’s a credit to the girls and playing very unselfishly.”

Joplin is now 2-0 to start the season, after finishing 4-22 last year.
