Authorities investigate shooting death in Noel

MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. – The McDonald County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting death after finding a body at an apartment complex in Noel.

Authorities say that a little after 10 a.m. Sunday morning, Noel Marshall’s office and sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of shots fired at the Noel Heights Apartments.

A man’s body was discovered with gunshot wounds in an apartment on the second floor.

Witnesses identified a suspect who had fled the scene.

That suspect is now in custody after an arrest in Benton County, Arkansas.

No names are being released at this time.
