A wild weekend of high school football state quarterfinal action saw some of the area’s best advance to the state semifinals while others saw their seasons come to an end.

Marionville’s season ends at Windsor

A great season for the Comets came to an end at Windsor on Saturday afternoon. 

Windsor came away with a 40-21 win to advance to its first-ever Class 1 state semifinal. 

Dakota Wilson put the Comets up 7-0 on their first drive of the game, but Windsor went on to score 40-unanswered points to put the game away.
