Motorcyclist dies after hitting rear of truck on Kansas Expressway

A person riding a motorcycle died Thursday afternoon after crashing into the rear of a truck that was slowing in northbound traffic on Kansas Expressway, according to police.

The accident occurred at West Catalpa Street at 5 p.m.

The person on the motorcycle was trying to put the bike down on the pavement but struck his head on the rear of the truck, according to police. Next of kin had not yet been notified.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
