Carthage senior Kaden Kralicek signed Tuesday to play baseball for the Gorillas next year.

CARTHAGE, Mo. – Carthage High School senior Kaden Kralicek signed on Tuesday afternoon to continue his baseball career at Pittsburg State.

“I’m just excited to keep playing baseball,” Kralicek says, “I grew up playing. Ever since I could hold a baseball I knew this is what I wanted to do.”

Kralicek has been recruited to play middle infield for Pitt State.

“I am going to go in as an infielder, but I’m going to go in and work hard, and if they need me anywhere else, that’s where I’ll be,” he says.

Kralicek says a big reason for choosing Pitt State was his experience with head coach Bob Fornelli and the coaching staff.

“They would just text me every day,” Kralicek says of the staff, “They would make me feel at home. If I wanted anything from them, they would give it to me. They would give me my space, but it just felt like the were my other parents.”
