12th annual ‘Holiday Craft Fair’ in Pittsburg sees increase in vendor participation

PITTSBURG, Ks. – The 12th annual ‘Holiday Craft Fair’ in Pittsburg looked a little different this year.

A total of 22 vendors set up outside at the Pittsburg farmers market pavilion selling Christmas items, holiday gifts, and food.

Vendors wore masks and there were sanitizing stations set up throughout the socially distanced booths.

There was even a socially distanced photo op with Santa and Mrs. Clause.

The event typically has around 12 vendors but because it was outside this year more people were able to take part.

The entry fee to the fair was one nonperishable unexpired food donation that will then go to the Wesley House food pantry.

“The most exciting about this event is the kids being able to see Santa, giving back to the community and getting your shopping done before Christmas, thanksgiving even and that sort of thing” said Ashten Clark, recreation program manager for the city of Pittsburg

The Holiday Craft Fair was held a month early this year to avoid cold weather.
