Chanute Police makes policy changes following COVID-19 increases

CHANUTE, Kan – The Chanute Police Department suspends fingerprinting and VIN inspections following an increase in COVID-19 cases.

According to the Chanute Police Department, people involved in non-injury accidents are asked to exchange information between everyone involved; Non-emergency calls are asked to call central dispatch at (620)431-5768; The information will be passed along to a shift supervisor who will determine how to handle the situation.
