OKLAHOMA CITY – Organizers of the annual Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon run in remembrance of the 1995 bombing’s victims say next year’s race again will be postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The 2021 event is set for the weekend of Oct. 2. The 2020 event initially was pushed to October from April, when it’s typically run. This year’s race also was a virtual event to allow for social distancing. Race director Kari Watkins said Tuesday she hopes a delay of a few more months will allow people to be able to run together. Experts still refer to the bombing as the deadliest act of domestic terrorism on U.S. soil.
