JOPLIN, Mo. – The Joplin Health Department reports the death of six residents in which COVID-19 was a “significant condition” contributing to death.

Five of the residents who were passed away include two males, ages 90 and 94,  and three females, ages 73,96 and 98. Those five residents lived at long-term care facilities.

The sixth resident who passed away was a 90-year-old male.

Today’s announcement brings the total count to 48 COVID-19-related deaths in Joplin.
