Michael L. Drake Sr. age 67, of Buffalo, KS passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 due to an auto accident. Michael was born on December 13, 1952 in Eureka, KS the son of Eddie I. and Mabel L. (Spitzig) Drake.

Michael was retired from Wilson County. He was also a business owner
and served on the Buffalo City council in previous years. He was the fire chief for the Buffalo fire department for 10 years and also did release work for the Wilson County jail.

On January 12, 1976 in Yates Center, KS Michael married Marilynn Ann Bird.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and sister in law Jeannie Drake

Cremation has been requested with private family funeral services at a later date. Memorials in his name are suggested to the Charity of your choice and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Services entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS 66720
