Frank David Schmitt, Jr., age 75, of Marionville, Missouri, passed away at 1:36 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born April 12, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Frank David and Helen (Swehla) Schmitt, Sr.

Frank was a 1963 graduate of Southeast High School in Kansas City Missouri and attended Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City. He worked for Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri for 40 years.

On February 3, 2004, he married Gwendolyn Anderson in Liberty, Missouri.

Frank is survived by his wife of 16 years, Gwendolyn; three sons, Steve (Pauline) Schmitt of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Matt (Amanda) Schmitt of Stewartsville, Missouri and Chris (Jenni) Schmitt of Blue Springs, Missouri; six step-children, Cheryl (Keith) Cole of Cassville, Missouri, Debbie (Don) Clapsaddle of Chanute, Kansas, Cindy (Tim) Rohden of Clever, Missouri, Gregg (Kandi) Yockey of Cassville, Vicki (David) Leonard of Purdy, Missouri and Kelly Cornell of Cassville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; 28 step great-grandchildren and four step great-great grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen, one sister, Shirley Bunker and two step grandsons.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville, Missouri.
