Marionville

The Comets (10-0) have to be feeling good about themselves heading into the district semifinals after receiving a week off due to Greenfield’s (0-5) forfeiture of the quarterfinal round.

Marionville is averaging 50.9 points per game while allowing just 15. The last time it was on the field, it shut out Miller with a 60-0 victory.

Sophomore quarterback Wil Carlton has continued to be among the area’s best players. He completed 72.5 percent of his passes this year for 16 touchdowns and he also ran for more than 500 yards and eight scores. Defensively, he’s come away with eight interceptions.
