Staying quiet for Thursday – KOAM

While we continue to see our skies turn mostly sunny once again for Thursday as we stay mild, we’ll watch for some fire weather risks out to the west of the region. We note a surface high over the Great Basin creating a dry and hot air mass over the western third of the country. This, combined with some low humidity and strong winds for Thursday, is resulting in a few elevated risks for wildfires across southwest California, parts of Idaho and Montana and for parts of New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.
