JASPER COUNTY,  Mo. – A Jasper County congregation is celebrating a new place to worship.

Spring City Baptist Church held a dedication service for its new worship center and multi-purpose building on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Officials say this building was four years in the making and took two years to construct.

The old church was falling apart, but this new space will give the congregation a solid place to gather for many years to come.

“It came out of need. Our older building was in disrepair…so, we looked to this and the Lord provided this lot for us. So this was kinda our vision for the future to build this and the church would just continue on,” said John Mitchel with Spring City Baptist Church.

Some church members helped build the new center.
