The News-Leader will conduct a high school football player of the week vote each week during the high school football season.
Nominees are collected by News-Leader reporters and freelancers on Friday nights and are submitted to the News-Leader on a weekly basis.
The vote will go through early Wednesday morning with the results being posted on social media and in the paper weekly. You can vote as many times as you please.
Votes will only be collected through the News-Leader’s website. Votes submitted via email won’t count.
Player of the Week nominees
Wil Carlton, Marionville — Completed 11-of-14 passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Also rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown while intercepting two passes defensively in a win over Sarcoxie.
Cole Fuerbacher, Glendale — Completed 23-of-31 passes for 237 yards and three touchdowns. Also ran for 36 yards in a comeback win over Kickapoo.
Aaron Fisher, Aurora — Rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Marshfield.
Antonio Rogers, Lebanon — Rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Camdenton.
Cristian Berumen, Branson — Rushed for 147 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Willard.
Hayden Fane, Rolla — Rushed for 181 yards in a win over Waynesville.
Garrett Drown, West Plains — Had 10 total tackles including one for a loss. Also had three quarterback hurries, two pass deflections and a fumble recovery in a win over Parkview.
Max Schnelle, Lockwood — Rushed for two touchdowns, threw for one, caught one and came away with an interception defensively in a win over Miller.
Patrick Carlton, Carthage — Rushed for 150 yards and four touchdowns. Also passed for 71 yards and a touchdown in a win over Joplin.
