Shirley Jarratt

Shirley Mae Jarratt, age 85, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away at 11:39 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2020, at her home. She was born February 6, 1935, in Knosaha, Wisconsin, the daughter of Rudolph and Olga (Wesner) Krause.

Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Vallejo High School in Vallejo, California and was a member of the Shell Knob First Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher for 60 years, a member of the Shell Knob VFW, liked to line dance at the Senior Center and play cards.

On September 5, 1954, she married David Mitchel Jarratt, in Vallejo, California. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2000.

Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Quarlene House and her husband, Martin, and Darlene Jarratt, all of Shell Knob; four sisters, Joyce McCoy and her husband, Kenneth, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Eunice Berry and her husband, Ed, and Carol Neely and her husband, Carlton, all of Hixson, Tennessee and Dorothy Smith of Napa, California; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Olga, her husband, David, one son, Douglas Jarratt, two brothers, Jimmy, and Rudy Krause and two sisters, Lois Williams and Elenor Burbrink.

A private burial will be held at the Mikeman Cemetery in Shell Knob, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, Missouri.

A memorial service for Shirley, will be held at a later date.
