Cutting The Ribbon At The Trail Expansion

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship as two groups celebrated the newest addition of the Ruby Jack Trail that officially connects Oronogo and Carl junction.

The Joplin Trails Coalition and the Carl Junction Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on the new expansion Saturday morning.

This 14 mile compacted limestone gravel trail now connects the cities of Carl Junction, Oronogo, and Carthage.

Officials say their next step is to add more track to continue through Carl Junction

The event drew a large crowd of outdoor enthusiasts who were excited to try out the new trail.
