Voting began on Sept. 22 in Missouri, if you’re mailing in an absentee ballot, that is. 

Polls will open on Tuesday, Nov. 3, for in-person voting, where Missourians will cast their votes for President, governor and the Clean Missouri re-write among other important initiatives and elections.

Missouri Governor

This year the office of Missouri’s Governor is up for grabs. Incumbent Mike Parson (R) is facing off against State Auditor Nicole Galloway (D), Green Party candidate Jerome H. Bauer and Libertarian Rik Combs. 

Governor Mike Parson has been in office since 2018, following the resignation of Eric Greitens, and has made moves to end violent crime in cities, but has also been XXX. 

A July poll showed Parson had a lead with voters split 41 percent for Republican Gov. Parson, and 39 percent for Democratic Auditor Galloway. 

Meanwhile, Sept. 14, Former Vice President Joe Biden gave his endorsement to Nicole Galloway. President Trump endorsed Gov. Parson in September of 2019.

Amendments

Amendment 1

Amendment 1 would limit the lieutenant governor, secretary of state, state auditor, and attorney general to two terms of office in a lifetime.

Amendment 3

Amendment 3, also known as Clean Missouri, would use a bipartisan commission appointed by the governor for legislative redistricting and alter the criteria used to draw district maps.
