MONTGOMERY CITY, Mo. — Montgomery County High School is closed Tuesday after someone tested positive for the coronavirus, school officials confirmed.
The school district superintendent told 5 On Your Side the closure was a precautionary move after one staff member was confirmed to have COVID-19. The closure also would allow the county health department to perform contact tracing.
The high school is scheduled to reopen Wednesday.
The district’s elementary and middle schools remain open.
The high school is located in Montgomery City about 80 miles northwest of St. Louis.
