Five more Greene County residents have died of the coronavirus in recent days following outbreaks in local long-term care facilities.
Four of the people who died were residents of nursing homes, assisted living or other long-term care facilities, according to a health department news release.
A woman in her 60s, a woman in her 70s, a woman in her 80s and two men in their 90s who all had underlying medical conditions were the latest victims of the virus.
Those deaths bring the total deaths in the county to 35, most of which were reported in the month of August.
