Cherokee County, Kansas woman dies after crashing into body of water

WEIR, Kan. – The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash near Weir, Kansas.

Sheriff David Groves says that around 4:35 p.m., on Saturday, June 13, emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of NE 50th and Highway 103, east of Weir.

A 2016 Chevy Equinox reportedly left the roadway and entered into a body of water.

45-year-old Sue Uber, of Weir, was pronounced dead at the scene.
