A proposal to change the name of the fountain quickly received support from Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas and others. It’s not the first time renaming the fountain has been called for.

New name recommendations for the fountain can be submitted to the Board of Parks and Recreation at KCParksEngage@kcmo.org.
