ST. LOUIS — A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg south St. Louis’ Gravois Park neighborhood Saturday evening.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the shooting at 6:40 p.m. in the 3600 block of Michigan Avenue. When they arrived, a friend was taking the boy to the hospital.

Police didn’t give his condition but said that his vitals were stable.

Witnesses said several shots were fired from a vehicle driving through the area. A 64-year-old victim was also in the area, but she was not hurt.

Less than two hours later, four people were injured in another shooting in the Gravois Park neighborhood. They were all conscious and breathing when they were taken to the hospital.

Ten people in total were shot in the city Saturday; two of them were killed.
