National Outlook for Thursday

Very dry air combined with gusty winds will lead to critical fire weather conditions over portions of the Plains and Desert Southwest through at least Friday. These conditions could lead to the growth and spread of wildfires given ignition. Severe thunderstorms capable of damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall will be possible over the Central Plains Thursday and Friday.
