Gorillas hit the field with new head coach Brian Wright Tuesday

After three months of off-season workouts, the Pittsburg State Gorillas hit the field for their first spring practice under new head coach Brian Wright Tuesday morning.

The Gorillas will have a total of 15 practices.

Spring drills end with the annual spring game on April 18th.

Pitt State returns nine players who started seven or more games last years.

Coach Wright says it felt great to actually work on football with this group of guys.

“You know, just a eager and hungry team that wants to do well. They want to be coached. They want discipline. They want to go to work everyday and that’s a fun group to be around,” adds Wright.
