dogs party in Carthage for Doggie Gras

It’s not quite Mardi Gras yet, but that didn’t stop the Big Dog Boutique from holding their Doggie Gras celebration in the Carthage Square on Saturday.

Dog owners and lovers could come out and take part in a doggy parade that went around the Jasper County Courthouse.

The owner of Big Dog Boutique says it’s great to see the dogs socialize.

“It’s just fun to see all the different breeds, and how much people love their dogs,” said Big Sog Boutique’s Jeanette Cartight.

The inspiration for Doggie Gras came from the Carthage YMCA’s Mardi Gras 5K.
