ST. LOUIS — An event gaining the attention of thousands may not be an actual event.

It’s an event titled, ‘Margarita Crawl St Louis.’ It’s supposed to be happening in St. Louis on March 7.

The event on Facebook originally said, “Public Event by Bar Crawl Unlimited and PBR St. Louis.” But after 5 On Your Side reached out to Bar Crawl Unlimited and PBR St. Louis, PBR St. Louis was taken off the event.

When 5 On Your Side reached out to Ballpark Village, it said “We are unaware of this happening this year. Our team is removing our affiliation- it appears to be carry over from 2019.”

The regional vice president of Bar Crawl Unlimited said, “Tracked this down and asked for our removal, as our participation is not accurate.”

As of Jan. 28, ‘Margarita Crawl St. Louis’ hosted by Bar Crawl Unlimited still exists on Facebook, even though the regional vice president said it asked for removal.

The Facebook event does not list any venues that are participating.

‘Multiple Venues! Discounted Drinks at all venues! Free take-home giveaways limited quantities,’ The event said.

According to the Facebook event, 276 people said they’re going and over 7,000 are interested in the event.

According to Eventbrite.com, the crawl costs $14.99 to $34.99 per ticket. The refund policy states, ‘no refunds.’

‘The promoter reserves the right to change the venues and order of venues at any given time. Refunds are not accepted but we are flexible if you cannot make this event after getting tickets email us and we can give you a credit to another crawl!’ It said on the eventbrite page.
