Missouri Gov. Mike Parson announced Friday that Greene County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Todd Myers was appointed as an associate circuit judge.
Myers, the longtime second in command at the prosecutor’s office, will fill the vacancy created when Becky Borthwick moved from associate circuit judge to circuit judge.
Myers was chosen from a group of nominees that included Judge Todd Thornhill from Springfield Municipal Court and federal public defender David Mercer.
A news release from the governor’s office says Myers is a graduate of Evangel University and the law school at the University of Kansas.Â
