Troopers say a Seymour woman was found dead Monday morning after crashing her Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) in a field.

Rebecca Tavares, 65, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred on private property along Highway BB just south of Seymour, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report says the crash occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Sunday and 8:49 a.m. on Monday.

The report says Tavares hit a fence post and her 2012 John Deere Gator UTV overturned. She was ejected and trapped underneath the vehicle.
