CARTHAGE, Mo. – A southwest Missouri man who fell asleep in the parking lot outside an adult video store – becomes the victim of a carjacking.

It started early Wednesday morning outside the Carthage Vegas video store.

The victim had fallen asleep along with his pet goat – while his friend, the driver – went into the store. The passenger says when he woke up, an armed masked carjacker was driving the truck.

Police say the carjacker was Brandon Kirby, an Oklahoma man with a long criminal record. According to the arrest report, Kirby drove the victim through Kansas, Missouri and then to Oklahoma.

The report states Kirby ingested methamphetamine and pistol whipped the victim with his gun.

Kirby eventually forced the victim and his goat out of the truck.

With the help of OnStar, police located the vehicle and used stop sticks to flatten the tires in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

After a foot chase, authorities arrested Kirby. Kirby was wanted for burglary and had recently been released from prison after serving time for multiple crimes in Oklahoma.
