Disaster Unemployment Benefits Available to Flood, Tornado Victims in Six Additional Missouri Counties



Individual Assistance Now Available in 26 Missouri Counties; Application deadline for those in original 20 counties is August 9

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (STL.News) – On August 5, 2019, an additional six counties were added to the list of 20 Missouri counties already declared as major disasters.  The declaration and yesterday’s amendment allow Missourians in those 26 counties whose employment was lost or interrupted due to severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that began April 29, 2019 and continuing, to apply for up to 36 weeks of Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA).
