Missouri AG Schmitt Announces First Federal Indictment Obtained Through Safer Streets Initiative



St. Louis, MO (STL.News) – Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt announced today that the first federal indictment obtained by a Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) under the Safer Streets Initiative was handed down in St. Louis.  One of five Assistant Attorneys General deputized as SAUSAs as part of the Safer Streets Initiative in St. Louis secured the indictment on June 6, 2019, and the indictment recently was unsealed.

On June 6, 2019, a federal grand jury indicted Hashiem Thomas with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon.
