Missouri News: Columbia Police investigating apparent homicide and self-inflicted gunshot wound on March 11

COLUMBIA, MO (STL.News) – Columbia Police officers were dispatched to a residence located at 5704 Kelsey Drive to investigate a death on Monday, March 11, at approximately 8:30 a.m.

Officers located an elderly married couple inside the residence.  Each individual had evidence of a fatal gunshot wound.  The husband called 911 and stated his wife was deceased.  When officers arrived they found the husband deceased as well.  The initial investigation indicates that the husband’s gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
