St. Louis News: statement from public safety director on police officer suspensions



ST LOUIS, MO – Four St. Louis police officers have been suspended without pay from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department effective immediately, Public Safety Director Judge Jimmie Edwards announced Thursday.

Thursday afternoon, the four officers were indicted in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri on charges including suspicion of lying to the FBI and the use of excessive force related to the assault of an undercover St. Louis police officer during a 2017 protest following the Jason Stockley court ruling.
