JEFFERSON CITY, MO — Today, Missouri Governor Michael L. Parson announced nine appointments to various boards and commissions.
Sherman “Bill” Birkes, of Joplin, was appointed to the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Birkes is a retired banker and financial analyst with over 30 years of experience. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the U.S. Army Reserves and Missouri National Guard. He graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and a certificate from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
